Kelantan, Malaysia

Famous for:

                    Pros:

  • RM2 Shop. Everything there only cost 2 Ringgit.
  • Nasi Dagang with Gulai is delious.
  • PCB, Pantai Cahaya Bulan (beach), It's nice to play kites there.
  • PCB Resort restaurant, nice evening food next to a beach. I like the chicken chop, mee hoon goreng (fried vermicelli noodles) & the mee hoon sup there (soupy vermicelli noodles).
  • Tempayan with gulai (it comes with nan type bread).
  • I like the sizzling eye mee in the Aeon shopping centres food court.
  • Tok Bali beach in the late evening before dusk.
  • You can go kayaking at the Aman Tok Bali hotel.
  • The tall tree area next to pantai Senok in Bachok (beach).
  • Honey pilled tea (the tarik madu & the tarik hijau) from Pohon Nako in Kota Bharu.
  • Laksa with white fish sauce in Kota Bharu from the Pasar besar Wakaf Bahru.
  • Cheaper beautiful batik printed trouser from Siti Kadijah upper floor market, be aware that the shop keepers there are a bit aggressive so quickly pick what you like, buy then get out hehe.
  • Handicraft, wau bulan (traditional kites) & fridge magnets from the handicraft museum shop, kampong kraftagan.
  • Simple batik painting cloth painting at the handicraft museum, kampong kraftagan.
  • Cheaper nice Muslimah fashion at Bazaar Tok Guru especially if your looking for jubahs.
  • They sell pretty wau bulans there (traditional malay kites).

             Cons:

  • It has very hot & bright weather.
  • It's difficult to find organic foods, one of the only options you have is at the small section in Aeon shopping centres super market.
  • If you do go to the upper floor at the Siti Kadijah market, all the shop keepers there will try to talk to you & sell you something; they are very persisitant don't go to every booth just stop at ones that may have something you like.
